OGIC is Now OWVA

2026 Vision, Bylaws Update, Website & Membership Renewal

We are excited to officially announce that the Oklahoma Grape Industry Council (OGIC) has formally transitioned to a new name: Oklahoma Winery & Vineyard Association (OWVA).

This change reflects the growth and evolution of our industry and ensures our organization represents the full spectrum of Oklahoma wine producers — including commercial wineries, vineyards, farm wineries, urban wineries, fruit-wine producers, meaderies, cideries, and allied partners.

What Has Been Completed

  • Formal Board approval of the organizational name change

  • Amendment filed and approved with the Oklahoma Secretary of State

  • Bylaws updated to reflect the new organizational name and structure

  • IRS formally notified with supporting documentation

  • Strategic planning meetings to strengthen branding, marketing, and statewide outreach

  • New OWVA Gmail account created: OWVA-OK@gmail.com

Website & Membership Portal Update

One of our Board Members is currently designing the new OWVA website and integrated membership dues portal. This upgraded platform will provide improved member access, clearer communication, and streamlined online payments.

Although annual membership dues are traditionally payable on March 1 of each calendar year, we are asking members to please hold off on submitting payment until the new website and dues portal are fully complete and launched.

We will notify all members once the new system is live and ready to accept payments.

2026 Vision & Next Steps

As we move into 2026, OWVA’s priorities include:

  • Expanding membership through statewide outreach

  • Investing in professional branding and digital growth

  • Increasing public awareness of Oklahoma wine producers

  • Strengthening legislative and agricultural advocacy

  • Developing coordinated statewide marketing initiatives

  • Exploring a proposed Statewide Oklahoma Wine Festival (June 13, 2026)

The festival is being developed as a coordinated statewide marketing event designed to elevate Oklahoma wine, increase public awareness, and bring producers together in a unified, high-impact celebration of our industry.

We appreciate your continued commitment to strengthening and elevating Oklahoma wine statewide.

With appreciation,
Dan Montreuil
President - OWVA
