Oregon War Veterans Association (OWVA) has established the Oregon Veterans Political Action Committee (ORVETPAC) to help ensure Oregon veterans get the legislation and services that they need.  This is immediately critical to veterans, due to the rising number of veterans in Oregon. 

ORVETPAC is the only PAC that is operated 100% by Oregon Veterans – for Oregonian military and vets and their families.  Last legislative session, like previous sessions, OWVA spent thousands of hours lobbying for benefits and programs. 

The Oregon State Political Tax Credit Program allows any individual tax payer to subtract a $50.00 contribution to ORVETPAC from their Oregon State taxes owed.  

It is a “dollar-for-dollar” tax credit, not a deduction.  A Joint return qualifies for a $100.00, dollar-for-dollar tax credit.

Example:  You are filing an Oregon State joint tax return.  You owe $100.00 in State Taxes.  You write a check for $100.00 to ORVETPAC and send it to ORVETPAC before 12/31/07.  You now owe the State of Oregon ZERO dollars in taxes, because you get the dollar-for-dollar tax credit- to subtract right off the top of your tax bill.

Anyone can help Oregon's veterans continue working hard for vets by making a tax creditable contribution to ORVETPAC.

How to get your “dollar for dollar” tax credit by donating to ORVETPAC:

1. Print this PDF form: ORVETPAC web form
2. Fill out the form completely
3. Write a check for any amount (Individuals get a credit of up to $50/ Joint filers get a credit of $100- but you can give any amount you desire to give.)
4. Send the form and your check or money order to the address below.
5. Keep a record of the donation, and claim the tax credit on your 2007 Oregon Tax Return.  (OWVA is not required to send a receipt for this donation- but we will if you request it.)
